I was looking at the Commando boards they have a nice list of all the weapons from the frog. Have you noticed that the pistols seem to have the highest DPS compared to the other weapon classes? What do you guys think?

no way around it they are turning the game in the the month 2 - 4 hell it was at the beginning! (for good this time though.. with pistols owning everything..)

Perhaps, but the majority of specials we gain arent damage-oriented. It will be interesting to see how BH Torso Shot might be used to turn that around a bit though, unless they've limited its use to rifles?

I'd be interested to see what a Marksman Pistols 4/RS 4 + Master Pistoleer combat rating is vrs a Marksman Rifles 4/RS 4 + Master Rifleman combat rating. If the numbers in the CU docsmean anything, it seems to suggest that we'd end up with a lower overall rating number than the damage-oriented riflemen.

On the other hand, a more profession specific modifier model would make good sense: have those numbers in the docsmodify damage dealt and state effect effectiveness, defenses, etc, so that for example a Master pistoleer isnt going to do as much DPS as a rifleman with a weapon of the same exact stats, using the same marksman-level special, but has a much better chance of KDs sticking. Dont realy understand if/how those numbers actually work, if they are directly effecting combat mods, or if they merely represent the skill mods we get.
