I know it's probably been asked before but i'm new to the professions boards and no one has mentioned it on my server board but what do you guys think of the new geo pistols. Are they really as great as everyone says. I haven't felt like dropping 150k on one yet but if i could get some imput from like minded professionals I might just take a look.

Yes they are awesome and no you wont get a good one for anywhere near 150k. Those will be basic 102 max looted ones and you dont want that. Genos are very accurate. Mine Does over 300 Max damage and 170 min. I hit for 400+ on low blow, the the 10 second panic shot delay, then last ditch and yer dead. Very effective, very deadly.

I can finally do pvp now with this gun, too bad it costed me 400k, but it is worth it, and when teamed up with smuggler skills pistoleer is actually quite fun in pvp. Too bad it sounds like a blender

P.s. Get one of these guns,( well the ones made by a weaponsmith that is)

Got a looted one for free. 117-190 3.2 with very low HAM costs. I'm actually laughing about Riflemen shooting me with ther Ion Guns now

I'm outdamaging them by at least 100%.

Ditto... you're not.

What's more powerful... Strafe2 @ 1.0 with a 700dmg T21 or 600dmg ION rifle, or stopping shot @ 1.0 (if you have the proper speed mod, which most dont, and not to mention the bad speeds on geo pistols), with a 329dmg Geo pistol?

i have one that sliced and powered .. is max damage of 495 @1.9 speed . .
