Thread: Weapon Certification and you...how to use that Power Hammer you got.

yes There are now 3 distinct ways a weapon will be certed. Most will be based off power level. Which is good...we should have access to most pistols, BUT some will still be in their Iconic professions i.e. I think we Keep the DE-10, BHs can keep the Scatter etc etc.
Does this mean you can pick up a power hammer and use it? yes...will you be the worst swordsman ever? yes unless you pick up some 2h skills...
This allows the hybrid professions to level in their respective trees (since many have Pistol/Carbine/Rifle trees) but at least keep some of the weapon will stay with their respective professions.
Oh, and the third way is racial. I believe Bowcasters will remain with the wookies.

I say we skin the wookiees, and sell their Bowcasters!
Im still sad that i wont be able to use some of the new pistols... but i can live with it.

I would be shocked if the Devs don't let Pistoleers use the Renegade, Alliance Disruptor and Intimidator after this change.
From what I see this is a good change, we can for instance use an E-11 whether we're skilled with it or not like Luke and Han did on the Death Star. Of course nobody in their right mind is going to PvP with a weapon they don't have skills for so that's not a problem...

its been said this wont effect the master level certed weapons.. all 3 of those are master certed.
