I was wondering if anyone in the testing can give a rundown of the state of the pistol specials? How do they work? What do they look like? How long are the warm-ups and cool downs? Do more of the new specials work than the current ones?

Quoted from another post of mine...
I had a play with all of our PIstoleer specials on TC when you could use all specials... Fan Shot is a smaller cone it seems and does stun, then you have intimidate shot that didnt seem to have a cone...
I can't quite see where "crowd control" comes in... in my eyes that would need 32m area state effect hits... or at least cone shots of all our specials.
Disarm shot seemed to be a single hit special too... although nice.
I was sticking intimidate shot, then stun with fan and use stopping shot to root and kite and spamming body shot... but I wasn't controlling any crowd of mobs... more aggroing a load with Fan shot that I had to target individually one after the other to kill.
Saying that, maybe when you get the Advanced specials they all cone/area, I couldn't test that with Pistols 4.
I also had a play other profesisons specials, Torso Shot (highest damage pistol special it seemed at the time), confusion shot (dizzy and stun) and some smuggler ones... all looked interesting.
I'm up to1/0/0/0 Pistoleeron TC-5 now and was really dissapointed with Improved Firearm Strike... will have to bug someone about that move I think.

Intimidate is quite often the be all and end all in PvE and PvP... you can pretty much half the damage of your attacker and keep it that way... in live anyway.
I've been wasting 15 skillpoints on Novice Brawler just so I can intimidate and warcry... I can get rid of that now.

exactly... i was wondering if the ranged special was as effective... ie does it 'stick' often. is it as useful as the melee version etc.
