I think they should just make all pistols in pairs, and have it just a graphical thing.

What is the major holdup here? Don't they have like twice as many devs now??

Dual wield were promissed to us to the CU
But they were delaying, delaying, launched a expansion before the cu, launching a expansion together with the new expansion...
So, i think this will come in the near future.
I can assure you that in the next 10 years we will see it

I don't recall us being promised dual wield in the CU. As a matter of fact, I am fairly sure I even saw a post from our own corr. confirming that it would NOT be coming with CU, but sometime after. Personally, I don't see what the big deal is. I would like dual wield, and holsters too for that matter. But given a choice of that, or having our specials fixed I think it is a pretty obvious choice. The cosmetic tweaks are nice, but if we are still broken who cares how good we look while spamming our few useful shots until someone with higher AP outdamages us and gets loot rights, or kills us in pvp. I have done well with pistoleer, learning to use what we have, augmenting with BH(which I don't always use specials from, but it's nice to have the choice, and the extra speed/acc. is just a no brainer) and the right equipment. If after CU, my guns are still considered good, but some noob starting out can do better with the rest of the weapons we've long forgotten, I am all for it.
It's like the uproar by the carbineers and commandos(moreso the commandos) about the lack of the underslung carbine that was in the .tre files so long ago. The former commando corr. came right out and said because it would require new animations, it would not be going into the game. Yet now people are wondering why they don't see it and are claiming it's a nerf, keeping the weapon from them(this is a minority, but you do see/hear these things). We need to focus onwhat is important, and not worry about the rest. After we have a working set of specials then we can worry about dual wielding or holsters, or all the rest. Let's keep our focus here and get the most we can out of the CU, and save the cosmetic changes for later.

So they are whining about needing to add additional animations? That is their reasoning? Does that mean after they get the CU out the door they will revisit the iten we really are looking forward to( in addition to the myriad broken specials)?

What I recall the corr saying is that sometime after CU, we should look for it. No timeframe post CU was given, but I recall clearly reading on this forum that it would not happen with this upcoming fix.

i wonder for how long i'll still see mention of this ridiculous dual wield crap. To be honest I'm sick of it. The toons will look ridiculous with one pistol in each hand (that's what Rambo would do, no doubt)... The devs said they can't/won't do it... So get over it.

I think it CAN look cool, having dual wielding, but that doesn't mean it will. Personally, I couldn't really care less either way. Would it be nice to have the option, sure, but unlike some people(like the starter of this thread and the other half dozen + that you can usually find) I really don't think it is a big issue at all. If they never implement it but our specials are fixed I will be quite pleased. If they do put it in and our specials are fixed, hey, even better, the power of choice. If they put it in but leave us with broken specials I will be outraged.
However, the devs, to my knowledge never said they couldn't or wouldn't do it. In fact, I believe I have seen from a dev in a past HoC chat where they said it was coming at some point in the future, but no time soon. So, if it makes it in, like I said, great. If not, no big deal as far as I am concerned. My initial response to this was because I am tired of seeing people act like it's some huge surprise or outrage that it's not happening. It's been stated for a while that, during CU at least, we won't get this.

you will NEVER get it, and shut up about the holsters too. Who cares.
