Well, I feel pretty...unmathmatical. We'll leave it at that. But I was looking at the speed mod thing. And it just doesnt add up for me the same way I see other people using it. Can someone break it down for me?

Heres what Im trying to figure out, been a long time since I did anything like this.

(WeaponSpeed * SpecialDelayMod) - (WeaponSpeed * SpecialDelayMod) * (PistolSpeed/100)
And if result < 1.0s , result = 1.0s

???, Thanks.

If you want to understand this easier, you have to write it like this :

attack delay = (WeaponSpeed * SpecialDelayMod) * ( 1 - (SpeedMod / 100))

and if result is under 1.0, then result is forced to 1.0

the variable that is causing abheration is the SpeedMod since as you can see, if speed is 100 or more, result is not only under 1.0, it is even NEGATIVE because SpeedMod / 100 is above 1.

As a result, whatever Weapon or Special you use, your attack delay will be 1.0

You can draw the progression of the results easily, you'll see how retarded it is to give Riflemen 90 speed mod for example, allowing them to fire at the perfect rate with 80% of their weapons, whatever the special move is.

simply multiply ur weapons speed with the special delay mod and substract ur speedskill in percent. lets say

2 sec (weapon)*4 (specialdelay) = 8sec - 50% (ur speedskill = 50) =4 sec.

if the result is below 1 sec its set to 1 sec (1sec cap). fe

1sec (weapon)*2 (specialdelay) = 2sec - 75% (ur speedskill = 75) = 0,5 sec = 1sec.

There is news that the CU is going live tomorrow. Yet most of the polls and posts I've seen voted that they hated the CU. Are they really gonna release it even though most of the people hate what they've done with it?

Yep.

See it all the time in the corporate world. Eventually they have to justify the cost of development and that is done by meeting a release date whether or not any one will use the software. In this case, it just so happens the software is the entire business - bad move, but again, the suits made the decisions - not the developers when it comes to release dates.

the devs in all their infinate wisdom know what we truly want, they know what we truly need, even more so than we do ourselves....

Unfortunately so. The Live team has had problems getting these larger publishes out on time because they have constantly allowed themselves to be pushed around by the player base, example: publish 9, delayed 2 weeks for further testing, publish 10 delayed one week to allow pre-10 unlockers more time.

The expansion RotW has to be ready before Ep3 hits the screens or Lucas won't get the maximum hype for his latest crock prequel, I believe the reason the suits decided the CU should be part of hte expansion is because whatever the dev come up with, however lame and hated it is, the playerbase simply can't bully them into major changes resulting in a delay of the CU without it costing the devs their jobs, and with how competitive the games industry (especially mmorpgs) these days, being fired actually means something, you won't get another job in the games industry if you're fired for incompetence.
