Thread: Surprise CU live tommorow on my server!

Well I definatly didn't se ethat oen coming but on ahazi bria and many others tiggs said the CU will be up tommorow not may 5th. SO much for that extra griding time and time with my dots 
What do you all think about it? is the CU even ready to go live?

In my opinion, the CU isn't nearly as fun as the current live version. It had potential, but bad decision after bad decision has given us a steaming pile, again, that's just my opinion.
I'll log in after my server comes back up, I'll see what they've done to my pistols, and see just what I get to respec.
Then I'll probably cancel my account and never log in again.

i wanna share a little story with u all.
once upon a time, in a time of 56k, and pentium 2's, there existed a MMO unlike any other. it was called SWG. My best friend got AOL for broadband (60 bucks a month at the time) just so he could maybe play it. I wasn't as lucky, and asked him to borow the 20 dollar guide. I took it home, read it and became really enchanted with the game it was crazy. i went to his house right after school, and stayed until the we hours of the night. He was a novice brawler and frankly sucked, but neither of us had play any MMO's b4 so i didn't know he sucked. I saw ppl's factories and smal houses. then i saw ppls' shops and i was in love with the crafting. Then i read on bounty hunter (still no idea that jedi existed) and pistoleer professions. i decided i wanted to be han solo so bad. then i realized how dynamic the PvP could be, with foods, and armor, and weapons, and creatures and doctors ... oh boy and i hadn't even played it yet! well 2003 comes around and i get a 3ghz pentium 4, 1gb ram, Cable internet computer. it took literally a year of convincing and i finally did it!. my parents let me sign up (using thier credit card of course) for SWG for chirstmas 2004. i've played it since then and all i've heard is of stories of the "glory days"; "AH -bestine raids" "the first jedi" "crafting being new, and not already maxed out" "dungeons like squill caves being so hard to kill that it would take 20 ppl to clean it out".
well i thought: "its ok its just different right? still stuff to explore (even if its already been seen 1000 times) and stuff to try (even if its been done already)"
well now theres this CU thing and 1/2 the community is leaving. all the veterans from the "glory days" are moving out. Going to WoW or something... And i admit i tested TC-3P, and didn't like most of it. and it looks like this game is on its last leg..
moral: sucomb to the marketing of bill gates and crew, and buy a new computer every chance u get, other wise you'll miss out on alot of fun.

It doesn't seem to me things are ready to go live, but looks like we are being forced into it. 
I just hope the game is still fun.
