Well, I hadn't cared too bad because the Pistoleers were getting a master Level Dl-44, which is the most Iconic Pistol in the Star wars Universe.
Lo and behold I logged in today and it is now certed for Master Smuggler.
is that a mistake or didI miss a memo?

I suppose it's iconic because Han Solo used it, and we know what he was.

Ok now today as of logging into Test Center the DL 44 XT now has a combat rating to use and does not require a master skill box.
Guess what? So does the DE 10 now. Requires Combat level 54.
As intended or a bug?
I was testing a melee character, and could equipa DE 10.
So is the DE 10 no longer the providence of Pistoleers only?
So a skilled Heavy Weapons expert for example, experienced in the use of flame throwers, could pick up an advanced pistol and use it as well as someone who had spent time learning the use of close combat weapons?
Stupidity.

A pistoleer is more than the weapon he wields. The heavy weapon expert would miss more, and not be able to fire it as fast as a pistoleer. The pistoleer will also know how to position his body to not be hit as often. And he will know a few tricks on where to put the shots to be most effective.
Comparing the commado to a brawler when it comes to pistols. The commando will have general ranged modifiers of speed and accuracy. The brawler will not. So the commando will hit more often than the brawler, but a pistoleer will hit most often with the pistol.
Yes, everyone can pulla trigger. And a weapon powerpack is a weapons powerpack. The same waya 9mm bullet is a 9mm bullet, dont matter whom or what fires it.
But only the pistoleer gets the defense mods, accuracy mods and special moves ![]()

Actually I think the flame thrower would have a little less of a range, than a pistol would
