I was in a group raid on an IMP base and we was doing ok until I started using Fanshot. Don't get me wrong, I was doing tons of damage but inadvertently agro'd about 8 Stormtroopers and an AT-ST. Well I was able to kill several of the Stormies before the AT-ST incapped me and another Stormie db'd. It was fun anyway. Got a bunch of faction points out of it. All in all a good raid. I'm not sure if my group finished the base off because I had to log right after that. I'm sure the Imperials took a good hit though. Possibly even 2 AT-ST's went down! Woot!

Even better, I was helping defend a rebel city from an Imp raid and someone in my group tagged one of the reb NPC base defenders with his panicshot/fanshot combo. Suddenly our whole group has a TEF and our own rebel NPC's have gone from white to yellow on the radar and are now attacking the same rebels who dropped the base in the first place. Talk about your unwanted aggro.

I was using an FWG5 against the Stormtroopers. 70-272 dmg, 1.3 spd.

I used my trusty Republic Blaster for the AT-ST's. 91-290 dmg, 2.0 spd.

I can't wait until I make novice Commando. Hopefully I can do some good damage with the Launcher Pistol since Blast is practially the only thing that AT-ST's are vuln. to.

If you want to have some real fun with FanShot (or StrafeShot, or FullAutoArea, for that matter), stand at the top of the cave below Fort Tusken facing into the first cavern during the 'deathspawn' and let loose with FanShot. You can agro every Tusken from the cavern down to the pool. Nothing quite like having20 Torture Lords and Gore Chiefs and Avengers all coming at you.
