Randonb and your supporters, I apologize for my remarks. THough not intended to be inflamatory, I just wanted to know the truth. ITs strange that 4 correspondants quit around the same time as beta comes out. As a carbineer and former pistoleer, i just dont want to see the communities and the people who love those profession get slighted by the lack of quality people such as Randonb, Novamarine., etc
Ho'mer.

Well I can't read what was said (moderators can, but I won't bother them), but I'll try to address it. Normally I would just ignore it and/or report it, but you did edit your post andapologizeso I don't think you meant to lash out at me. It's not a big deal, people write things all the time.
Yes, I'm playing the beta. I play under my forum handle, and I've met many Pistoleers in game who approached me for a chat, which has always been pleasant. To suggest I resigned from Correspondent after so many months so I could have more time to frolick in the beta (if that's what you are suggesting, I have no idea)is a little confusing. If I were that kind of person, I would have either A) declared it in a "screw you guys" post, or B) Made no post at all. Why lie about it? I certainly wouldn't have offered to stick around and help on the Sandbox if needed, which still costs money for me to keep my account active.
Yes, I stopped playing the ground game. Yes, I resigned from correspondent, but I continue to actively serve until I am replaced. And yes, I'm having fun in the beta. A lot of people are. I didn't know this was really so misleading, or even a bad thing. I've made no effort to hide it (I post on the beta boards, my character's name is Randonb, etc), I just haven't announced it here. Even playing the beta I serve in some capacity, through bug reports and evaluation of how things are coming along. I have nothing to gain from helping out, I won't be playing retail.
The ground game still holds little interest for me, sadly. My friends are still all gone as well; JTL won't bring them back. I wish I could stay, but corresponding isn't something that a person can do if their heart isn't in the game. You guys deserve a correspondent who's as passionate about it as I once was. You understand, right?
The 4 correspondents who quit didn't really all quit at the same time. It's not uncommon for a correspondent to resign privately, but retain the position for some time before the public is made aware of it. The reasons for it vary, but I'll be honest with you, I think one of the major reasons is shame. Correspondents, believe it or not, are not only people, but they feel guilty for letting you down. It's not an easy decision to make, and only comes with strong feelings that it must be done.
A lot of people have asked if I'll be coming back someday. The answer is that there's always a chance, but it would be in the distant future. Long enough for me to get bored with the next game, or really really homesick.
I do intend to read what you guys are up to after I'm gone.
PS: If you can see the beta boards (they are way at the bottom) but haven't recieved your key, please read this stickied post by Thunderheart. Sorry non-beta-ers, you can't access it so there's no point in clicking.
