If you want average Defences, make sure to go up the Fan Shot tree, something like this:
Pistoleer 0043, BH 0040, TKM
Your are basically spreading your abilites wide, to keep yourself with many different combinations, which is good for someone who is easily bored, but personally, If you are using any pistols, you want Master Pistols, 0040 BH, and the rest in medic. Use any skill tapes you find, and you can basically stand and fight all day, as long as you have some KD food with you.

Been that too. Never used the pistol until they were running away and I didn't feel like chasing 'em.
My original plan was that I wanted to use the KD and dizzy from Smuggler/BH and then knock the snot out of them with TKM while their down.... I do see your point with the fact that I will most likely never use pistols if I go that route......Its such a hard choose I like both allot....Good D. Lots of Speed....AHHHHHHH need more skill points ..... I really don't want to give up TKM (still one of my favorites)....mainly for the Defense..... You guys think I should go M Pistols,,BH 0040, and pick up the rest of the def points from rifleman?? Or should I hangout and what for the combat revamp whenever that happens...? My current template is TKM, Master Marksman. Smuggler 0010, Pistols 2242... So as you can see I can go both ways........

I would go Medic 0040 so that you can use Stimpacks D or E. Those things are massively powerful.

That is why I wanted to keep TKM...I think that I am going to go that route...I thought about Medic but I was worried that healing would take too much away from the mind.. Or should I pick up more defence from Rifleman or fencer.
