Hello all,
I'm curious as to how the DOT system works. Let's say you stack two Torso shots on a target with your Geo Blaster. Can you switch to a Scatter Pistol and apply two more Torso shots on the same target? Will this also work with the health bleed shots? Thanks in advance...

Sure you can do that if you want. The only thing switching guns will do is affect the damage done and the tick since it is a percentage of total damage. But you should use the best gun for the situtation and not worry about switching to apply dots because of the time delay.

The DOTs are not gun specific. They are shot specific. Meaning it doesn't matter what gun you use /torsoshot is /torsoshot and /healthshot2 is /healthshot2.

Hmmm... maybe I wasn't clear enough in my question... sorry bud, let me try to ask that again.
Example: First two Torso shots from your Geo stick.
My Question: Can you now switch to your Scatter, apply two more Torso shots to generate a SEPERATE DOT tick from the one caused by your Geo?

Ok, after reading your post again, I see what you're trying to get at... the specials aren't gun specific. Too bad... anyways, thanks for filling me in

I remember seeing somewhere that a command could switch flamethrowers to and do this to get 9 dots on a high end target. If this is in fact correct, then I would definately be an exploit and should be reported. If I cant use it legally then I dont think the exploiters should be able too either. Unfortunately nobody has confirmed this.
