Why not do this. Sounds odd but will make sense.
Master Pistoleer - 92 SP's
Master CH - 106 SP's
Medic 0-0-2-4 -31 SP's
BioEngineer 0-4-0-0 20 SP's
Total Skill Points used. 249. The reason for this template is you have your pets to go tank for you which leave you to blast them from a distance using fan shot. But pets take quite a beating so have BE tissue engineering 4 give you the means to make some really nice pet stims to heal them with. You keep them healed and you can sit back and take on some pretty mean stuff without to much worry. Not sure if you can still get your pets buffed or not but if they can and you select the right types of pets and pistol (thinking mostly of damage type for pistol and specials for pets) Then your golden. Imagine having 3 pets, One with a dizzy special, one with ahealth disease, and one with say KD, add to that your bleed and you'll be a really happy camper. Plus you can make pet taming skill cloths with BE tissue engineering 4. But thats just my 2 cents.

why BE at all again? whats wrong with jsut buying the clothes and stims instead of wasting skill points to make your own? and as far as medic pahrm 4 lets you use stim D's which really heal alot not alot on high ham pets but cna be used ina jam and used on yourself if heavne forbid you ever get hit. keep in mind fan shot is good but it argoes everything inthe area and they don't always go for your pets first

I am currently a master pistoleer, working on master ch, and trying to figure out what to do with the rest of my pts. I've considered using the excess points for smuggler, medic, marksman, or possibly tk. Any ideas? I know that I do want to keep Pistols and CH.

smuggler has some really nice specials including low blow which can knock down and combined with a pet that has dizzy can do kd dizzy. With that template you really don't need TK becuase your pets tank for you medic is good fo rhealign yuorself but with a kimo takign damage in pve you really don't take alot. maste rmarksman doens't do much but is required for master smuggler... my favorate tempalte calcuator is down but I don't think you have enough SP for pistoller ch and msuggler, sicne yo ulaready have scout for ch BH pistols might be an idea for acuracy and speed modds and eyeshot -torso shot. Hope that helps

I just was thinking of the self sufficent aspect of doing it. Even if you didnt use fan shot you could set the pets on the lair and pick off the mobs as they spawned.

I've never actually considered that. Interesting idea!

Actually, smuggler has unarmed/pistolsIV and bh has master marksman/exploration IV as prerequisites. I would be MasterCH/MasterPistoleer/Smuggler0040 for the pistol specials and damage mitigation. How effective would that be?
