Ahhhhhh read that again....
Intimidate scares a person and temporarily makes them physcially weaker, therefore limiting their attack damage.
You don't "scare" a sword, light saber, pistol etc.you scare the person wielding the weapon.

With that in mind...
Why does intimidate affect ranged weaponsand lightsabers?
It makes sense that intimidate would affect a regular kintetic-force weapon like a sword or a axe, but affecting a Lightsaber (something that can cut through a meter of plasma-steel with ease) or a blaster bolt (that can burn straight through armor)?
I'd personally like to see intimidate limited to affecting other non-Jedi melee'ers.

The weapon's damage is also reflected in the person's skill and ability with it. If for some reason you're unable to focus on your target (because you're too scared/intimidated to do so), what hits you make will be grazing and less lethal.
You ever seen one of those gunfighter movies where the one guy's staring down another, and the other guy's all scared and his gun hand is shaking, and he's sweating and all that. When he finall pulls the trigger, his shot goes wide and maybe grazes his target. He hit (mostly) but did little damage because his intimidated state affected his ability to inflict damage.

Do your hands shake when you get scared? Be kinda hard to shoot the ears off a gundark like that.
I would agree that each combat master box should include a degree of def vs intim, to represent the fact that you are a master, and fairly confident in your abilities.
