Sorry Uthyr. Anti-Decay kits only stop condition decay. They don't make PuPs or DOTs unlimited.

However, for the PuPs, you can now use them with total indiscretion without ever having to worry about them ruining the condition of your uber pistol. As you know, using PuPs causes your weapon's condition to degenerate faster, but with the ADK you can use PuPs with impunity.

'Sides, PuPs are dirty cheap anyway, and Mod Rep blasters are practically a dime a dozen these days.

Interesting... It's certainly worth studying, which is, I believe, Uthyr's realm.

Yeah, I was fully expecting that answer, but hoping for a different one. I don't suppose you could apply an anti-decay kit to a powerup before you put it on the pistol either, huh?

It wasn't so much the cost of thoseitems that I was thinking about. It was having them run out in mid-battle without me realizing it (this happens to me all the time). I sometimes go days before I realize that I am using a pistol that no longer has a PuP on it.It would be so nice to just not have to even pay attention to the condition anymore.

Anyway, I've decided that a DE-10 or a good PSG is the best use for an anti-decay kit. Any other opinions?

I keep thinking of new things to use an anti-decay kit. Oh, the possibilities are endless... uber armor, PSGs, weapons. So many items, so few kits...

Anyway, all this thinking has raised two questions in my mind, and I wonder if anybody here has tried this or knows the answer:

1) If you use a kit on a weapon that already has a powerup on it, does the powerup stop decaying along with the weapon?

2) If you put one on a modified republic blaster, do you get unlimited uses of the bleed DoT?

Have you ever watched the condition of your weapon in an examine window? It is blatantly obvious when you do. I know because I watched my perfect condition DE-10 going down 1ptalmost every 3 shots, and this was without using specials. Compare this to barely changing condition once I removed the PuP.

Yeah, King Uthyr's realm of the experimental study of semi-important game phenomena is always opento new challenges.
