Now that the devs have given people the ability to make their legendary weaponsimmortal, the only way to get them out of the game is through disarm shot...but its broken...

On my server, for example, there is a guy with a 2500+ damage t-21 who one-shot kills everyone in pvp, one-shot kills fully buffedjedi knightson his BH mission, and now that there is no decay he claims he will camp nyax, etc for the super loot

Were you here you'd agree this is unfair and unbalanced;our only hope is disarm shot...

any info or petitions you may be aware of would be greatly appreciated

thanks all

First they came for the Jedi and I did not speak out because I was not a Jedi.
Then they came for the Bounty Hunters and I did not speak out because I was not a Bounty Hunter.
Then they came for the crafters and I did not speak out because I was not a crafter.
Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Being able to damage an opponent's weapon is certainly a controversial issue. Someone always has the choice of whether to use their uber Krayted, damage-sliced, PuPed weapon, or their less uber weapon in a fight, so the argument that Disarming Shot would destroy someone's hard-earned, very expensive weapon is somewhat weakened because of that. But still, I think there are better potential uses for Disarming Shot than just destroying the weapon outright. If you'd like, I can link you to a Disarming Shot discussion thread I started a while back.

diarming shot 2 is a delay attack but the delay is a very low persent so i think that is the sane amount of time it wold take to switch weapons so yes i think for what they want ti does work in theory but not good enough to be used on a regular basis or even at all

It'll never happen... they wont allow a special that specifically damages an opponents weapon... too much scope for grief.

Where did you learn that Disarm 2 is a delay attack?

disarming shot 2 should make the enemy drop his gun - well put away... this delay will give you all a chance to run and hide from that uber rifle.

As for people having a super weapon with infinite condition - i dont think anything should be infitie, but after paying 3mill for a krayt de.10 and using a few specials with it - now i wish it had infinite condition...

And if some punk used disarming shot on it and wrecked it i wouldnt be happy.

Thats my opinion - slow down the way condition drops... if at all on high end weapons. As for rifleman, hopefully the CU will fix there ability to solo huge PVE enemies and be master of PVP... no way should a rifleman beat anything at close range - whether or not it has 2500 damage... defeats the object of using short range weapons otherwise...

Anyway thats a different subject...

he made it up

on the issue of dealing condition damage to people's weapons, i give you this:

how would you feel if an opposing pistoleers shot through your lovely DE-10?

griefing is not something that most honorable pistoleers would have the attack do (and i stress the word HONORABLE since it seems a lot of jerks like to pick up the ways of the pistol)

i figure decay is one thing, but damage from blasterfire would e a different story. but blaster damage would be too c omplicated, there would be too much griefing involved, too much whining. so making someone drop a gun, would be a good idea. maybe even give a delay bonus after they dropped the gun ( it might be hot from the blaster bolt). it wouldnt do much good if the disarming shot only left the enemy with the chance to click the hot key to equip said weapon. even on npcs, i have found disarming shot to be completely useless.

Our only hope to prevent players doing what you're describing is the Combat Uprgrade, not Disarming Shot.

Yeah, I think if they're going to do anything with it, since everyone thinks it won't be a great idea for Pistoleers to damage other weapons, I think it should be an attack to knock out the weapon since there is a delay in equiping now.
