Thread: Would you use an anit-decay kit on this?

Ok, I have two kits. Had a couple of DE10s sliced last night and got 25 and 33 damage slices (for once the slicing gods looked favorably on me). One of them maxed out at 500 damage without a powerup (665 with one). Question is, should use one of my anit-decay kits on this DE10? I thinking yes. Even if the CU changes things around quite a bit I still have another kit to use if need be. Your thoughts?

i would just save the kits, have fun witht your guns for now but if they start getting low on condition shelf em, the curb might make that gun usless it might make it uber, no one knows.

If you get something better, you can delete the item you used the kit on and get the kit back to use on another item. It means that you lose the item (in this case your 500 damage DE-10), but you can reuse the kit.
Personally, I think it'd be better if the Anti-Decay kit was like a power up you dropped onto your item, and then could remove later without destroying the item. You only get one kit, and that's fair, but DE-10s and good Geno blasters are also hard to come by. To work and work for one, and then work and work for one with a 20 point more damage, and then destroy the first one so you can protect your second one seems harsh to me.
But, perhaps this is for the best. Don't want people switching the Kit between weapons during combat, and having unlimited condition on all weapons now, do we?

id say hold off from puttign decay kits on armor and weapns for now until after the revamp the stats on the guns and aromr might change but that is just me

I had the same dilemma and I absolutely DID put the kit on my 600 max dmg DE-10. My logic is this:
I like you have two kits, I stored the second kit in my bank.
Between now and the CURB, I have an uber gun I can use anywhere and it will help me have fun and make money.
Once the CURB comes, the DE-10 should still be decent. If it TOTALLY sucks, just destroy the DE-10 and the kit SHOULD pop back out into your inventory. (At least, I have heard that is how it works for now).
WORST case senario, because we both have an extra kit? We only have one kit to use once the CURB comes out, but that is still better than a lot of people.

My question is, is there any restriction on using more than one kit simultaneously once you own them (i.e., will you get the message "You are already using one of those kits and are not permitted to use another")?

Well, I know that when you select the 6-month reward, you get the option to take an Anti-Decay Kit.
When you select the 12-month reward, you get the option to take the Anti-Decay Kit again.
I assumed that if you selected it as your 6-month you couldn't select it for your 12-month as well.
I will be very, very pessed if I find out that you can actually take the Anti-Decay Kit at 6-months and 12-months.

The anti decay kit is only a 12 month reward. The best 6 month rewards is the 30k resource deed. Either you have to buy another from somone, or have an alt that too has been playing for 12 months in order to have 2.

hmm - I thought the ADK was a 12 month reward ?
oh well - I put mine on an Imperial Protype PSG, and it is still on full condition after absorbing well over 10 times its condition in damage :-)
That to me is an ideal use. It's a low cost item so if I decide to destroy it to use the ADK elsewhere then I'm not losing much, and it does give me a PSG that lasts more than 2 seconds against an SBD or Imp Gank sqaud ;-)

My thoughts exactly, Dark_One. I'm trying to buy two ADKs now--one to use on my DE-10, and one for a PSG. I plan to carry two crates of PSGs, one with high stun resists, the other with high energy resists. I'll just put the ADK on whichever PSG I need to use at the time, and then destroy the PSG and reclaim the ADK whenever I want to switch to the other type. Even having to destroy PSGs every time I want to switch, I'll still go through a hell of a lot fewer PSG's than I am now!

How is it I have two kits? I have two accounts. 
Decided it doesn't make sense NOT to use it on my DE10. Sure I will have to destroythe gun to get it back, but, the way I go through guns it would be destroyed in a couple weeks anyway. LOL Thanks for everyones input.
