Ive mastered a lot of professions and dropped them equally as fast trying to find something that fits... but now with the CU and the way everything will change will i be able to master my old professions without the grind?
Ive read and heard that if i have master commando in the past and want to have it again i will be able to during the CU...
Is this true or just a pipe dream... i want to know before i grind back up the path ive chosen (especially if i can have it without grind in a number of months)!

Well to be safe you might want to grind it out now. Cause from what I hear its gonna be harsh after the CU goes live.

When The Combat Upgrade goes live you will be able to relocate your current skillpoints into new chosen skills. Therefore no, if you have lets say TKM now, but after the CU goes live you decide to become a Rifleman, they are allowing you to do that immediatly. Kind of like the reroll the Jedi got after they got revamped.

Oh i see. I know little to nothing about the cu. Besides the fact that it comes around the same time as the new expansion...

From what I've heard, it will be weighted. If you have Master Marksman, you can take Master Brawler but cannot take Master Pistoleer. If you have Master Pistoleer, you could take Master Pikes but could not take Master Commando(since Commando requires Unarmed 4). But your best bet as was already mentioned is to grind it now. From things I've heard from friends(and that's all I'm saying), grinding isn't gonna be an option afterwards.

but dont think that just mastering a few novice professions will allow you more allocation points...your current points will be weighted based on their level
