This is not an auction. I looted this pistol attachment and the stats are: Pistol accuracy while standing: 8 Steady Aim Bonus: 11.
I was Auctioning it off and someone had a bid on it then withdrew their bid and their reason was something about since the steady aim bonus is an SL skill(i don't know what SL stands for) you would not get the Pistol Acc while Standing and would only get the Steady Aim Bonus. Can anyone confirm this for me? Thanks

SL would be Squad Leader
Dunno about whether or not you'll gain the Accuracy bonus stuff

AA's are a bit strange, but since steady aim is the larger value it will be the one that goes into effect when you use it. Unless you have a higher value of steady aim on your arnor, then Pistol accuracy would kick in.

These guys are correct. I think Steady Aim was a fairly unused skill because the bonuses are so small and players are already so accurate, but I'm not terribly well versed in Squad Leader.

Squad leader in general is a pretty unused profession.
I mean, when is the last time you have seen a squad leader that wasn't just doing it for a holo, or for a base takedown (and usually for takedowns, it's a bh who dabbled into novice squad leader).

However....according to this article, there is a way to pick the stat from an SEA that you want to stick. For example, if you take your accuracy +8 and steady aim +11 SEA, you could drop a steady aim +1 and then drop the accuracy/aim SEA and get the accuracy +8 to stick (because the item already had a steady aim +1).
I have not tried this yet but plan to do so soon. Here is the article. Rather long but I found it a very good read.

Thanks for the link.
I know there is a pretty big call from the players to make these work more intuitively. I have a hard time believing that they aren't really, really bugged with all of these intricacies and workarounds. After JTL there needs to be a "Core Systems" publish that just mops up these sorts ofissues.
I will add however that some of the tapes that don't work aren't supposed to work because they are deemed too powerful, such as Medicine Use and Heavy Weapon Speed. The bug with these isn't that they don't work, it's thatthat they are still dropping. The problem is made worse in that probably less than20% of the players read these boards (though theaccurate statistic escapes me), so they have no realistic way of knowing that don't work before buying them or wasting a socket.

this is not accurate anymore.
u have to find a +11 or greater of steady aim AA to make the other +skill to work.
The +1 stady aim will do nothing

Glad you spoke up!
I would have been very disappointed. I may see about doing some testing around the rest of the article and see how much might still be valid.
Thanks for the heads up.

Try this guide from the Intrepid forum. The information is accurate.

There are 3 Master Squad Leaders, including myself, in my guild. They help to keep battles organized.
