Hi everyone,

Switching from Sword to pistol, i just hit Novice yesterday. I threw my good old DH17 and start looking for a decent higher level gun.

I was wondering what stats are considered good forguns like DX2, rep blaster etc. Just to know, when i'm facing a vendor, if what they sell is ok or not as i have no clue about pistols

IE : found DX2 yesterday : 101 - 149, 2.6 speed +20 +20 -XX unsliced of course <-- is that an OK gun or not?

personally i like the republic blaster. i'm on farstar and mine is 68-210 with bleed mod. add a powerup and it goes to 273

Hmmm - I currently carry the following pistols :

DX2 (Acid Damage)

Modified Republic Blaster (Energy & bleed DOT)

Featherweight FWG 5 (Heat & Skill bonuses)

Geo Pistol (Stun)

Striker (Kinetic)

This gives me a wide range of damage types and allows me to adapt to the mobs available.

As for stats you need as many of the following as as possible:

Tight Damage Range - ie 25-100 isn't as good as 60-90 since ranged mitigation works by reducing only the max damage your weapon does.

AP - Big issue for pistoleers AP1 is very handy

Accuracy - Good accuracy at whatever range you intend to do your business at

HAM Costs - You're going to be spamming specials constantly for the time being so check the HAM costs on your weapon

Weapon Speed - The lower the better!

And of course always get your pistols sliced by a Master Smuggler....

Cancelled after waiting for the Smuggler Revamp for a year and a half.

The best "normal" DX2 I've seen so far is 105-164 dmg, 2.4 speed.

I think the accuracy mods were 0 at 0m, +20 (something like that) at 16m,-80 at 64m.

Dont quote me on the accuracy, I know I'm really close but not exact.
