Thread: Funny Thing about dodge
I saw a master pistoleer duel and MBH. The master bounty hunter used knockdown fire to start. Knocked the master pistoleer down and then started firing. The guy was dodgeing shots while down. He would standup real quick, do teh funny dodge animation then fall down again. Considering how often they dodge and how fast a MBH fires his scatter, it was hilarious to watch. So should SOE: 1. Remove the ability to dodge while KD or 2. make an even funnier animation of the guy rolling out of the way.
yeah i think its even funnier when you dodge like 6 times in a row...i love it, i dont really see wahts so funny about the dodge animation...when youre kneeling its like a roll and when youre standing its like a side step...but if you start up close with a pistol melee defense 1 on a bh you can win....i fought one twice yesterday just to see how i would do, im 3244 and he started with his scatter pistol the first time and i used stopping shot and i narrowly beat him. second time he started with llc....so i had to kd first
anyway i beat him that time too, i hit the health bar with 3 stopping shots in a row...i was very happy with stopping shot in pvp, i did 564 dmg one time....his llc did like 650.....not bad considering the dmg differences between the two weaps
Stopping shot can do over 1k dmg with a good pistol... first off BHs have no defenses pistolwhip will land on them almost every time, second if you have a good weapon and you are a master pistoleer chances are you will kill him before he even lands a shot. Fire KD rarely hits, Only time a master bh is of any threat is if he mixes charge shot from carbineer tree and you happen to be in his ideal range which counters dodge. Also, Master BH do get ranged mitigation 3.

You can still dodge while prone, and that's animated as rolling already. Should be a simple matter to change the animation that is used while knocked down.
