Irecommend either 0-1-1-0 or 0-0-2-0. This depends on how close you are to intermediate special abilities.....as the pistol speed will be more important at a early novice than later in the pistoleer tree. So if you are close to getting the pistol speed from line 4 then definitely get 0-0-2-0. At your level, double tap will be a big help with the added speed.

Fan shot and stopping shot is great but without the speed, you won't be able to get enough of them off to do any major damage especially with stopping shot. The delay is so long without speed that you'll find yourself yelling **shoot **edit** it shoot**** hehe....ok maybe that was just me. nevertheless, work on that combat xp soon as possible. I say that you should have at least0-0-4-3 before you even think about the other two areas....

The first pistol line don't mean a whole lot as even though you will dodge a lot with level 4, it's still doesn't do enough for you compared to speed and specials. I'm a master pistoleer and I do dodge a lot but not consistantly. Most of the time I get 3 or 4 dodges in a row and then I might goand get hit 5 or 6 times in a rowbefore dodging again....this is dependant on themob's level though I assume.

The pistol marksmanship line should only be taken into consideration if you are a runner. The accuracy and aiming bonuses from this line will really help you if you like to attack on the move....if your not a mover or runner then you can hold off on this line till last.

So to sum it up: Get the first line if you are already having problems taking damage in fights. Get the second line if you are a mover and like to fight on the run. Get the 3rd line and the 4th toghether if you can if not make sure you get at least a couple of boxes in line 4 before you think about line 1 and 2.

OF course the number of skill points are a consideration so.....in this case you have to put your points in the area that you already are lacking in and which you are having problems already. if you can't seem to hit your targets consistantly as you would like then go for line 2, if you want to do more damage then line 3.

I think most people would recommend going up the Techniques line first.

So: 0/0/2/0
