Thread: So you wanna be a pistoleer?
Anyway I have a couple questions for you all if you could give me your opinions.
1) I can only do Master Pistoleer. I can't do smuggler or BH cause of lack of skill points. I actually enjoy crafting, from time to time, to killing everyday. Will not having the smuggler or BH lines to help pistols hurt or hinder me?
2) What is your advice for pistol pvp? (specials, tactics, weapons) I know that each pistol does different damage, but are some more effective for pvp than others?
Unfortunatley it looks like they made mon cals terrible for fighting. Anyone else find this to be true? Our stat migration options are not very good except for mind. Yet humans get more mind advantages. Hmmm go figure.
I tried doing the search post thing but the search on these boards is wierd.

1. You would be better off getting smuggler or BH pistol specials. Smuggler would cost less. Smuggler I think is real nice because it gives you "melee" like moves at a range... like kd, a 10 sec delay, stun..., feign death I hear is all the rage 
Going for the BH mods instead... may work better for pvp... maybe.... But that's alot more skill points involved.
2. PVP your gonna go for 1 of 2 things... Either the highest dmg rated pistol you have... or... your gonna go for something your enemy is vunerable too... like "stun dmg" using the Tangle pistol.
My FWG5, and Tangle pistol are probably my primary pvp weapons.
As far as specials used in pvp.... healthshot2, and healthshot1.. you should always get these landed... beyond that.... fanshot (mostly), stopping shot(occasionally), bodyshot(if they are almost health incapped),
pistolmeleedefense..... but I tend to avoid trying to use this if I have to. I'd bet more money on a TKA's KD than I would my own.... but the move can work.
Beyond that remember to keep on the run. Your a pistoleer not a carbineer, or rifleman... one of your class specialties is running while shooting. Kite everybody with impunity.
