Thread: Health Shot 2 better than Body Shot 2?

Yeah, health shot 2 is even better now since it only targets the health pool as well. Even at master, I find myself using it instead of fan or stopping shot if I'm trying to take down one pool.

I have seen this too.. using healthshot2 a lot these days. Damage seems to be good all the time and its fast.

I'm out hunting savage quenkers at the moment...I noticed something kinda weird.
Using a powered up FWG5, and my Body Shot 2 does on average around 300 damage to these things, while my Health Shot 2, which I thought was simply for DOT, commonly does over 500 damage.
You may want to test this for yourself. It seems kinda weird that a DOT attack would do more damage than a damage attack.

Yeah, I noticed this last night when I was re-evaluating my template.Body shots are worthless. I dont even bother with them, they do novice marksman level damage. Wich is really dissapointing since body shot specifically targets the health pool.

It seems kinda weird that a DOT attack would do more damage than a damage attack.
For a veteran pistoleer, it no longer seems the slightest bit odd that 2 special attacks would not work even remotely the way you expect them to. You're just so disgustingly grateful that they do anything at all, you hardly notice ....

While grinding pistoleer skils, i kept changing the way i attacked savage quenkers, first i used rollshot alot (dont ask why), but after a while i started using healthshot 2, and eventually 1.
When i was nearing master pistoleer, the specials i used were as followed: healthshot 2 about 2-3 times (savage quenker can now beolmost half dead)low-blow(also master smuggler) and then healthshot 1 until its dead, wich goes quite fast. They drop dead before reaching me.
quite effective for xping

yeah, I'm huting quenkers too for pistoleer and I just spam them with healthshot 2. average damage is around 600 sometimes I hit for 1000.

The new Healthshot gave new life to pistoleer for me. I do 2k+ damage now.I can even PVP a little and even stand a chance of getting to DB something. Im so happy that I know it wont last.

Healthshot 2 rules, i use it over all other shots since it was fixed.

You know what is funny health shot 2 works betters better then Disarming, Doubleshot, and Bodyshot 2/3.

I got a speed sliced (1.9s) DX2 and use it with Health Shot 2 for 400-650+ damage. It's the best special I think to use. Bodyshot 1/2/3 are all lower damage shots. Fanshot I suppose is good in a group or with a pet but if the mobsget close to you, thecone disappears and is just a high damage random pool shot. Stopping shot is nice damage but too slow. The rest all seem pretty worthless.

Yeah, I'm also a smuggler and I have Ranged Support IV left over from when I was a Master Commando, my quenker killing combo looks like this:
Suppression Fire
Health Shot 1
Health Shot 2
Low Blow
Spam Health Shot 2
Usually the only reason I have to heal is because my specials have his my action really bad. Suppression Fire is also a really underrated special, from what I've read about people's tactics. In PVE, it'l stop just about anything in its tracks for a long time, like 10 seconds or more. Since the Panic Shot nerf, I've been using it instead of the low blow/panicshot combo.

In PvP I spam HS2 to drag down the health of my target. It has become my favorite shot and since everyone is so used to the "Master Gunfighter" being a joke the unexpected damage that they take has been all that more enjoyable. I still have to revert to my Rogue shots and then TK to get the job done but at least I now have something that is effective in Pistoleer to throw in the mix in pvp.
