creative idea , but no thanks . i dont want to waste 2 specials just so that i get the first shot in a duel . firstly this does nothing for us in pve (i dont care about pve but most people do ) . secondly almost all pvp encounters are not in duel form rather overts or tef's fighting it out . basically i see it as a waste of two specials .
p.s. i'm not sure if this is a april's fool day post

It can be tweaked, for instance at master once quickdraw 2 would be attained it would also do 7.5x damage to health pool but the kicker would be it could only be used once per opponent. That would make sense too, that your first attack would be a opening attack called quickdraw. Anything is better then disarm.

I have been toying around with an idea to make disarming shot better, but during that process came up with a idea to replace it totally ( and who would care since it's totally useless and at master disarmshot 2 is crap as well ). So here it is.....
Quickdraw 1 and 2
1. I think we can all agree that the one thing we all like in westerns was the showdown between 2 gunslingers ( this skill would simulate such action )
2.this skill would be attained at the same lvl that currently disarm holds ( novice and master )
3. OK we have all done duels and this skill would come into effect on those duels. At novice pistoleer you would attain quickdraw 1, with this skill anyone dueling any other prof would automatically get the first shot no matter who challenges. However if 2 Pistoleers are dueling the first attack would work like this....
If both pistoleers have quickdraw 1 and are dueling there would then be a formula which I will share in a second, however if the other pistoleer has reached master he would then attain quickdraw 2 and he would get the drop on his opponent by default, in the case of 2 opponents that have quickdraw 2 they would share the same formula as the 2 novices with quickdraw 1
- Formula for opponents dueling w/ same quickdraw special ( barring that the coding can be done for this )
a check would be made to both opponents quickness stat ( finally a stat paying off ) the person with the highest stat gets their shot off first, if for some reason both parties have the same quickness stat then a check is made to weapon speed, giving the dueler w/the faster weapon the drop, finally if at that point they are still the same the attack would just be given to the challenger like it is now.
If you hate this idea just say it in a constructive manner. I do however see alot of fun coming from this in a RP'ing way, not to mention it would make sense for our profession to get the drop on any other profin a duel ( afterall one of our titles is quickdraw )

I really just like the idea of forcing the target to de-equip his weapon and be unable to re-equip one for a set timer.
New skillmods for Pistoleer
Disarm +
And new skillmods for all combat profs across the board Grip+
Basically Disarm skill mods work with Disarming Shot to determine your chances of being able to knock the weapon out the guys hand
And Grip mods would work as a defense against it. Some professions would have more Grip than others, so they can resist these Disarm shots more. (Probably make them profession specific like Two-handed Gripping. Rifle Gripping etc..to prevent stacking.)

Suppose it's a TKA? Do you knock the vibroknuckler off his fist?

No this would primarily be vs ranged weapons as they're easier to lose grip off of. Meleeprofs would have a higher Grip rating. And obviously it would have no effect on TK (and TK would have no effect on you, buffs + 80% kinetic = haha)
