Yeah..flame away!

I'm now at 3-3-4-3 and I'm enjoying it. I'm noticing the difference now. Completing Savage Quenker missions in (less than) a couple of minutes. Not too keen on Fanshot (a bit fiddly if you are surrounded), but it's good for faction missions. Got my DX2, pre-nerf FWG5 and my Rep Blaster with DoT bleed. Spamming HelathShot 2 and Melle Def1 with great success. I'm a happy Pistoleer - you should stuff me and hang me on the wall !!

This is my first combat prof, so I'm just glad that they days of getting troubled by Chubas are over!! Yes, Pistoleer has problems, but in role-playing terms (for me) it's a true star wars combat prof - I didn't notice TKM's in the films!!

I should master by the weekend, then I'll start looking for other combat trees to add in (Prob Smuggler).

All the best,

Appro.

Good to hear from someone who is enjoying it like I am. I am very new to the profession (0/1/0/1), but even as low as I am I am noticing a big difference.

What are you doing for xp? I'm on Rori now doing nudfuh and borgle missions, and when I come across a lair of shallow tortons, I'll take them out. I'm averaging about 500 xp per kill on the borgles and nudfuhs, and over 1k on the tortons. I've also got a pet tanking for me as I'm a little ways up the ch tree.

Are there creatures out there (non-aggro) similar to the above that give off better xp that can be gotten from mission terminals while soloing? I would very much like to keep myself alive while working up the tree as much as possible!

I am enjoying it because it has low mind costs. As a doctor that means everything in PvP. But it would be nice to have mind attack.

I'm doing savage quenker missions on Dant (not quenkers, savage quenkers!!). 3k xp per kill, approx 18k per mission. They're pretty easy to kill, but make sure you're buffed with some brandy for the mind. Got incapped a couple of times early on, but that was mainly due to aggro-ing the whole lair by mistake..lol. I highly recommend these missions. I don't need the brandy anymore, as I'm killing them pretty quickly now. I've flown through pistoleer since I started these.

Good luck.

I'm 2304 pistolero and master smuggler, call my n00b if you want but I have really HARD time against 2 stormies at the same time :/
I really hope I'll see the difference soon =)

Fanshot is excellent for stormies. It would hit both at the same time.

I enjoy pistoleer also, but if you have a alt that was a rifleman like I do. You would understand more of why people are asking for more love for pistoleer. But yea I love my Pistol/smuggler/tka guy.

I really like being a master doctor/master pistoleer, with buffs, brandy and fan shot I can take down 20 stormies at oncewithout breaking a sweat. The only problem with pistoleer is the fact that some content in the game, Nightsister cave, Geo cave and the new Corvette are not things you can do in large part.

Even with all the broken moves, I still like pistoleer. For some reason I think pistols are cool. Whether or not we like the profession or have fun with it doesn't mean that our moves should stay broken, though. I want to gain a skill and get a move I can actually use!

Oh, and, if you're going to fight quenkers ( or any other mobs for that reason ) you should group a pet and leave it by the mission terminal. This gives you the group xp bonus, you should get about 1k more xp when fighting quenkers.

One word of advice. Go up the 3rd tree for Fan Shot. Your XP will FLY once you can kill a lair and damage most of the things running at you all in about 45-60 seconds. THen it's just finishing off the critters to finish the mission.

I like Pistoleer also. I would LOVE Pistoleer if the all the specialsworked.

If that darn Combat xp would come in quicker, I can be Master Pistoleer tonight, woot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My tip of the year: I've noticed that a faster pistol is better than a higher damage pistol. Unless you can combine both, then you're a God.

And yes, it gets a lot easier to kill Imperial scum.
