Thread: Bugged Republic Blaster?

Hi, I bought a new republic blaster today and I found something odd with its range modifiers.

It says:

Point Blank: +0 @ 0m

Ideal: -40 @ 0m

Max: +0 @ 64m


When I use it, I get +0 if standing at 64 m, but as soon as I move in, especially to pb range, I get large - bonuses to hit, even -50 while kneeling at Point Blank range.

I think the problem is that the ideal and point blank ranges are the same. However I'm unsure if this is a result of a bad crafting or some new thing sony have decided to do to the guns. Are everybody elses blasters fine? I've never used one before (still kinda new to swg) and I'm 0 0 0 1 Novice Pistoleer.

The guy I bought it off took an older gun of his out of storage, and its modifiers were

PB: +0 @ 0m

Ideal: -30 @ 0m

Max: +0 @ 64m


So it had the same problem.

I am on the bria server. Any advice would be helpful. Thankyou.

Mine dosent do that heh heh my guess is its just horrible crafting...

republic blaster accuracy mods are usually something like...


-1 @ 0m


-1 @ 8m


-1 @ 64m

that looks like a sucky crafted rifle with a horrible range. Use it for sniping

You can get a +12 at 64m if you go prone or at 3m if you kneel.

My Republic Blaster is +0 @ 0m, +4 @ 16m, +14 @ 64m to the best of my memory, i know for sure that its is most defninetly +4 @ 16m, i had it special made with an advanced scope to negate the huge range penaltty it had there, so it may not be the most accurate pistol when built this way it isnt inaccurate, just no huge advantage at any particular range.


Most pistols are made without scopes because most WSs are too retarded to realize that with full buffs ham costs are not an issue and who in their right mind fights unbuffed anymore?

My modified Republic Blaster has

min: +0 at 0m

ideal: -36 at 0m

max: +0 at 64m


Something's not right here. Guess they forgot to fix it when they did the DX2 range mods.

Jeez! Talk about scope of the gods there.

I think unscopes these things are 0/-40/0.

Best I've ever seen scopes is 0/0/0. These things are meant to be great at PB and range, but at ideal, but with scopes you can reudce that pain. I wonder what higher qual resources your server has to give another +14 to two mods!
