Thread: New DE-10 Info From IGNVault E3 Interview

If this has already been posted, I apologise, however yesterday there was an IGNVault E3 interview with Haden Blackman, regarding the space expansion. While reading through, I noticed there was a mention of the Death Watch Bunker, and how there would be a new speeder schematic in there...however, there was a little part of that small paragraph that I thought I should tell you lot about. Im paraphrasing here, as I cant find the link to the article but when discussing this new schematic, it metioned how difficult it would be to aquire "because like all DWB loot, it has to be created inside the bunker by a Master Artisan".

This implies to me that, not only will the DE-10's location make it very difficult to loot the schematic, once you do loot it, your going to need to babysit a Master Weaponsmith into the crafting rooms to build it for you, and if they fail while building, your kicked out, and have to fight all the way down again.

EDIT: Found the link; http://swvault.ign.com/articles/515/515507p4.html

Here is the relavent paragraph..

"When talking of new content, the Deathwatch Bunker was brought up, along with some of the loot that can be found within. By now most of you have heard about the new armor that can be found within (Bounty Hunter as well as Mandalorian). Some may have even heard about the Jet Pack (which you can actually strap on and fly around with). However, you may not have heard about the new vehicle: a new landspeeder schematic can be found within the Bunker. One of the very interesting aspects of this bunker is that as you find schematics within this location, you can only craft items made from those schematics WHILE INSIDE the bunker - they cannot be crafted outside by your private crafting stations in your nice, comfortable home. This means that all you artisans are going to need to bring a small (or not-so-small) army with you when you wanna make some of this stuff! Haden stressed that adding several new items was a key goal to be applied to each new publish, be it new weapons, armor, vehicles, or whatever."

Haven't DE-10s been crafted on live already - without the DWB being open? I could have sworn I saw a shot of one.

yes hopefully the Mandolorian armor and new vehicle are it... The razor knucklers and DE10 were both made on TC outside of the bunker, and DE10 schems have even dropped in live and made outside the bunker...so maybe his statement was in err.

I hope it was made in err. Do you have any idea how much weaponsmiths would charge us for that? Just glad I know one with combat skills!

Ok I understand the need to have everything that's cool in the game very hard to get, otherwise it would just be common. But come on... Has to be made inside?? I don't get it.. You kill your way into an enemy lair, then barge into this room. Then have this geek in glasses and trench coat come out of the corner and start building whatever?

Sorry just find that kinda.. I'll be nice here.. Funny.. (yeah it's funny. See I'm being nice.)

Too Bad I don't have enough skill points left to Master Weaponsmith. I don't know easily a Tailor, Weaponsmith, Armorsmith and I will be getting through the bunker to make everything. ButI deffenately want one of those guns...

Has anyone seen on the other boards someone suggesting craftable loot that has to be made on-site instead of back where your crafting stations are? That they're one use schematics is bad enough. We're not going to see a flood of DE-10's any time soon. But fekt, whose cockamamie idea was it that you had to have someone there to craft you one on the fly? We're going to get reamed with a sandpaper condom over the price for these things. For a weapon you can't really experiment on unless there's crafting stations in the bunker as well. Make sure you have a doc with you that can buff your crafter's stats and then give him all kinds of booster foods. I dunno... I have an experimentation tape or two back from the days I was trying weaponsmith. I'm hoping I could part with those for the price of the gun in question. I dearly want a 'Firefly' DE-10

If it's really like this, the weapon will most likely never be worth the effort to make it.

I have the schematic, looted it off a black sun spawn, I also got the pistol barrel for it. Just waiting for a friend to craft it for me.

Could be that once it goes live, they'll require it to be made in the bunker. Could be the RP aspect would be some "special" crafting station that has been heavily modified by the death watch guys. It could ALSO be that the crafted version done in the bunker will be much better than current TC/Live crafted versions. We'll just have to see, and then start bitching.

If the devs were REALLY clever, they'd let it be crafted normally outside the bunker and be the same ap1/energy gun we've seen so far.. but if it's crafted inside the bunker, with their special tools.. it could be ap1/cold. Muahaha. That' rule.

i know i read that the mandolorian armor needed a master armorsmith, tailor, droid engineer to BE there to craft two pieces each of the full suit..... it needs tons of loot (someone said the bounty hunter armor was a component) and apparently the schematic just needs a "death watch bunker crafting station" to bring it up on your crafting tool
i'm fairly sure that just the armor/vehicle will need to be crafted in the bunker.......
