Thread: pistols accuracy against defense stackers
I'm not sure if anyone has done enough testing to get a hard accuracy number but in my experience, it will be extremely difficult to get through a stacker's defenses using only the pistoleer skills. That is because of the absence of state attacks. Expert BHs are ineed more accurate but not to the extent of negating a stackers high defense.
My guild had a team PvP training session today where we simply split up into the rebel and imperial members and slugged it out on Vreni Island. The idea was to get in some training and work on tactics. One of the imperials stacks pistoleer and fencer and he was pretty darn hard to hit.
I eventually settled on using /aim; /lastditch; until I could get a stun to stick. After that, I could get in a few licks without his defenses getting in the way. Unfortunately, last ditch is going to cost you. Not as much as Expert BH but it will still cost 15 pts in brawler, 14 for theunarmed tree,6 for novice smuggler, and 14 for the DF tree. You are looking at almost 50 pts to get a ranged stun attack.
The only other real option is to kneel or go prone and use /aim repeatedly.
From what I can see it does. From what I recall leveling unarmed, I could tell a distinct difference between stun, intimidate, and the two used together.

A couple jedi told me about the 25% damage reduction stun applies (just thought it cut defenses) last night. Anyone know if it stacks with the 50% reduction from intimidate?
