Thread: So what do you guys use on nightsisters?

They have about 100% resist to everything our high powered pistols have (energy, acid, stun) and light/medium armor.

Some are slightly vunerable to kinetic but is hard to get a good striker pistol which has no armor piercing.

Is there any way for pistoleers to take on these bad mammas (without hiring a TKA )?

Good to know. I saw a lovely piece of Nightsister armour on a Master Dancer on Dant yesterday. Gonna have to get me some of that to dance in!

Yup, guildmates, I spent hours spamming hs2 at an NS Elder with a Republic Blaster and did about 100k damage before I got bored and called some assistance.

Now... if she had working force powers and hadn't miraculously lost the ability to run I wouldn't be making this post.

True, but i only kill elders really, and there 25% to energy!

NS Spellweavers also drop decent loot but good luck killing one with your AP0 Striker Pistol.

Most all of the nightsisters I've seen are 100% to energy.

I did drop a couple spellweavers with my striker ~ 168 max damage, but it took a long time, with all my pets dying and me having to burst run away a few times. 1st one I ever killed I was like, "OH BOY!" and as I went to loot it, it disappeared and a message said "that item is no longer available to loot"

Most NS are 100% resist to everything except blast/restraint/energy or blast/restraint/kinetic. There are some lower level NS that are 100% everything except blast/restraint/energy/kinetic. In addition the higher level NS are even heavy armor while the medium ones are medium and the lower ones are light.

Best bet for killing the ones you can hit with energy is the republic blaster. The damageisnt the bestbut at least it has AP1. The best bet for the ones you can hit with kinetic is the striker pistol. For the ones you can hit with both energy or kinetic I would use the republic blaster because of the AP1.

I like being a triple master cuz I can easily take the kinetic guys with TKA. The energy guys take forever with pistoleer so I usually stay away from them unless I have nothing better to do for the next half hour or more. If you really want to kill NS dont hire a TKA hire a swordsman since the NS are all damaged by blast.

OK thanks for the replies, another question then (since I just bought an uber rep blaster), do DOT effects (bleed/poision/etc) stick/hit even if weapon primary damage type is 100% resisted?

I believe so andyou can even give them wounds but I wouldnt suggest trying to kill a NS this way DOTs were nerfed so that most of the damage was transfered to the initial hit and the DOTs were lowered so this is really not worth doing.
