Thread: Need some advice on template

I am currently a TKM and a mid to high level commando and am looking change my template. I have come to the conclusion that commando is completely pointless in pvp. So I was trying to find a good range profesion to complement the tkm. I absolutley refuse to go to rifleman. So i was thinking hey if i get a master pistoleer along with the dirty fighting line then I could kd some of my enenies from afar and close in with TKM. I have read some post on here and it seems like this might not be the best thing to do. It almost sounds like in order to compete in pvp now you ahve to have either rifleman, combat medic , or bh(which i wouldnt mind if i didnt have to give up my TKM). Will the Master Pistoleer/ Dirty fighter compliment me much better then my current pvp gimped Commando?

At this time my sig lies a little since i have to give up a line in one of my profs to harv hides for my alt armorsmith. tkm is by far the best prof i have for pvp however at master pistoleer you can do lastditch like once for second and also have access to much more damage type. I gave up my master commando since it seemed everything i was fighting had high resit to heat same can happen withtkm but at least even if it has really high kin resist you can tank it in melee quite well. Out of the combat classes other then riflemen carbineer and pistoleer get the most diff damage types much more then commando and tkm. I've actually killed a player while i was loading (had a tef and the imp decided to try his luck) with just the default attack and at tkm its pretty strong. I also find then even if the dude is wearing 80% kin comp i can still kill him with the kd dizzy combo or just plain kd hit3 a few times.

I would like to say that go and master the pistooler profession and the pistooler related smuggler skills but unfortunately i can't do that. If you don't rock in PvP with Commando forget about Pistooler: it is a siderole being one. Our specials are broken and mostly useless. At least with commando you can be succesfullagainst NPCs. I tell you a little story:
I was visiting the Tusken Bunker (Tatooine, and it is not Fort Tusken, it's a mission given by an imperial officer) and met some other people there. We were waiting for the respawn (this place is usually camped just like Fort Tusken howevere not that much) and one of the guys asked me to shoot him with my best skills as long as he get incapped (he was buffed of course and he did not attacked back). Guess what? After a boring few minutes we both agreed it is best if i put away my gun and forget the whole thing. They simpy laughed at me anda fewdays lateri dropped pistooler. It is so embarassing being one. I even tried my luck againstmobs but you can forget about killing rancors and stuff, they will kill you. With TKA i can easily handle a dozen of them. Yes, a dozen. (Buffed of course.) I was wandering in the wilderness many times on Dathomir and i never had to afraid from anything. Except perhaps the Nighsister Elder, lol. But elders also can't hurt me seriously, i could withstand for about half an hour without healing myself.
Pistooler sucks. Unfortunately. That was the first profession i have finished, it was my a dream to become one.
I would say Han Solo was a smuggler and a pistooler in the movies.The pistooler is perhaps the second well known combat style in the Star Wars movies right after Jedi (which is unquestionably the first one)
Of course it is only my opininon.
