Well, I took my level 3 security officer's test a few weeks ago. This included 250 rounds fired on the range, with points scored on 150 of them. at 9 feet i had a 1 inch grouping, at 25 feet, a 2.5 inch grouping, and at 45 feet a 3 inch grouping. I'm a 22 year old handgun newb. The 4 guys i took the tests with were all police/military guys. Not a single one of them came anywhere close. 3 cheers for arcade games eh?

I'm usually more of a lurker on this forum but Daermoth, I just had to say something. Congrats and good job!

I'm ex-military, was raised it and married it so i've spent a good portion of my life around a lot of weapons. The best part for me was the range.

I love range time. Only thing better is actual hunting or playing paintball. Problem is, I'm so broke that I only get to spend an hour or 2 on the range every month. Can't imagine how deadly I'd be if I actually spent the suggested 2-4 hours a week on the range.

lol No kidding! I haven't been to the range in ages but I think my dad was the only dad I knew who could say he was proud of how good his daughter was with a gun!

This is strange though. I can be a soldier and do what needs to be done but I'm really can't pull the trigger on an animal. Weird eh?

Well, this isn't really a GUNSLINGING story, but it is firearm related...

This past weekend, I was given (for keeps) my great-grandfather's old double-barrelled shotgun. It's a 12 - guage built in 1910. Is that cool or what?

BTW, he's been dead for decades, so it wasn't due to death that I got it; my grandparents just finally forked it over. I'd been asking for it for a few years now

Ive got a 20 gauge in my closet for emergencies. Nifty little single barrel break action where the break release is the trigger guard itself. You squeeze the trigger guard to get the barrel to break, which I legally and legitimately modified to 2 feet 1/2 inches, and a nice tight duckbilled choke to make that birdshot spread.
