ok pistoleers i need some help,
i am a master TKA and master Commando
i have 18 skill points left over
i know i definetly want to use them up in the pistoleer tree to help me with my launcher pistol so my question is, based on your expertise which line of the pistoleer tree should i invest my points into. i am debating between the technique line so i can get +40 stun blind ans dizzy defense and the tactics line so i can get +60 dodge. what do you guys think? as a commando i dont have many state defenses but having +60 dodge with my +91 defence accuity from TKM would be sweet. another think to look at is the specials i will get. is having stopping shot and duoble tap better than having body shot 3 and pint blank single 2? what about the other two lines, am i over looking something special in them? any advice on the matter will be much appreciated

First off, concerning specials: Bodyshot3 and pointblank are NOT worth it. Bodyshot3 has a lower dps than bodyshot2, and point blank is just a stupid skill to being with. The techniques line great as far as specials go. Your highest dps will be with fanshot, which is an area attack. I'm sure anyone would agree, it must be a wonderful thing to fanshot AT-STs and turrets with the launcher pistol. Stopping shot does more damage, but is slower and has a lower dps than fanshot, but it has no area of effect, which may be advantagous. Dismarming shot and double tap aren't really worth being excited about, because at the moment they don't do anything interesting. That combined with the status defenses, and the Geo pistol cert make it an awesome and worthwhile tree to get.
As for the other lines: The accuracy tree is great, but really I wouldn't consider it worth it if you don't have the specials to be accurate with. And the stances line will give you speed and melee defense. The melee defensewill make you even stronger, and you may want that, and you will be able to use the launcher pistol faster, but once again, without specials, speed doesn't mean a whole lot. You also get a melee knockdown, but if you have TKA then it's pointless.
I'd suggest getting the tech line. The specials will help you immensly and the status defenses are great. I think that outweighs the benefit of the dodge.

My understanding is pistol dodge and TKA defence acuity don't work together, if that's what you mean. In fact, I thought I read somewhere that the dodge bonuses only work if you are using a "dodge" weapon (pistol or one-hand), and the acuity bonus only for when you are unarmed.
I can't remember where I read all this, so you may not take my word for it, but it was something I specifically looked at. If you find out otherwise, I'd love to hear.

I think that defensive acuity is supposed to be like dodge/counterattack/block. Unarmed doesn't have one specifically, and has the chance to do any of the three, and defensive acuity is supposed to increase the chance of any one of them happening. But I'm pretty sure it doesn't even work.

I would say to go up the tech line.. it has fan shot and some defenses. I would do dodge if you were a fencer cause it would boost your dodge(you do cap at 125 dodge though) but with just using one line of pistoleer I would go up the tech line for fan shot. Fan shot is great....when used correctly.

I have not quite mastered pistoleer, but here is my two cents on what I think has been most helpful -
I started with the Pistol Markmanship line first and yes the accuracy does help, but I believe Intermediate pistol stances and grips is better - disarming shot and stopping shot are awesome. Plus disarming shot works on lairs to destroy them faster. The only advice on using those two shots is to have plenty of accragram and brandy to buff up your action and mind for the drain they take.

Forgot to mention earlier that it is in tech 2 that you get the certificate for the geo pistol.

Take the techniques line - fanshot IS good and those defenses will work for you all the time...
Dodge only works if you are holding a pistol or fencer weapon.
