I wish I could at least give away xp. I hate killing things and getting no xp anymore. no pistol xp, and no combat xp. makes it seem so pointless to kill anything anymore. and besides, when I swarmed, its hard to tell when I kill something. I get no system message.

You might want to try using C12 gernades. I believe we are all certed for them and they give combat xp. In fact, if you don't use your pistol at all, it will all be combat xp. This may have been changed but if it has, I have not yet heard about the change.
