If the person you are fighting has mind buffs with muon and psg's then you are dead period. Pistoleer jsut doesnt do enough dps to make a dent in them. Basically if you want to be great in pve then go with tkm,master pistols and commando, pvp though go bh pistols and master pistoleer.

Sorry but this only works against non serious pvpers or if you have a lot of help. I have thoroughly tested this and I love pistols but right now in pvp defenses is king. Torso shot is really only an annoyance to a decent pvper and the the bleeds are a joke. You cant hit a fencer cob'ing with rifle ranged and melee defences plus mitigation. I had 168 accuracy and +37 on the move with a 420 scatter. Your bane is posture down dizzy and ranged defence at about 30.
Im going back tomy old template - master rifle, master pistol, DF 4 with tka 4-0-0-3. Then you can stack stun with intimidate and stay on your feet against those pesky dizzy posture change kd'rs. You can take the fencer down pretty good too because he cant do any damage and you can actually hit him.
I hate saying this cause I love pistols but if you are serious about pvp and you like pistols then this is what I have found works nicely..

Yeah, I'm currently a triple master. Smuggler brings in a steady income, TKM is great for loot hunting (namely NS for their attachments, got a +13 d vs kd I'm rather proud of) and Pistoleer is in there for ranged mitigation 3 and a ranged option in PvP. However I'm a) getting kinda' bored of it, slicing included, and b) hate turrets with a passion, which I need blast damage for.
Sooo, I think I'm settling on TKM, Master Pistoleer, Commando 3000. Gives all the mitigations, +79 pistol speed, +75 d vs kd, +105 dodge which I hope'll help when I'm using the launcher pistol against turrets, and all the damage types but elec and lightsaber.
I'm working on an "uber-suit" forPvP. 39% stun, 80%+ base comp. Then I can add attachments to cap out pistol speed, d vs kd, dodge, and some pistol accuracy. Only bad part of this template is +109 melee defense which can be capped, but only +72 ranged defense =/
