Thread: Need Help with FS xp grind....

As a Master Pistoleer/Smuggler, I'm finding that grinding xp for getting up the FS trees is taking an incredibly long time. While I'm not 100% sure I'll continue up the Jedi tree, I DO want that second slot. It would be easier to just get another account, but since my financial situation prohibits this, I'm pretty much stuck with opening the second slot. So, if anyone can tell me how to gain this xp fast, I would greatly appreciate it.

There is a good guide in the FS forum about that. Get novice commando and go as far up the tactics tree as you can. Use grenades they give combat XP. For pistol XP I would say that you should hunt savage quenker and use fanshot, takes down a lair and all quenkers in no time!

Want to grind fs xp fast?
Go TKM/master swordsman like everyone else doing the grind.

do not get novice cmd0. Use the grenades un certed and you get 5x XP. Since you are getting combat it transfers for a better ratio.

What grenades would this be? And how would I use it to such a good effect?
Thanks for the help, btw, and to address the melee template, I don't want to be melee, so I'm sticking with this

hrm not sure since im not grinding, i think they are the C21 or something like that grenades.

They are C12 and I don't see the 5 times exp thing mentioned above.
The long and short is that the C12 grenades do blast damage, and you can use them uncertified. Problem is you have to be on top of the lair for it to hit (blast radius). Also the grenades take 9 seconds per grenade. No faster and no slower. Getting the tactics tree gives you better grenades, but no increased speed (even though you see grenade speed +10 etc).
I got tactics 3 , bought a crate of 25 imperial detonators and had obtained 300k combat exp in a very short space of time. Be aware! The blast radius hits you as well!

im not having any trouble doing the grind. i picked up novice commando, and now i can cap pistol xp, heavy weapons xp, and combat xp all in one run. that makes for a very big trade in. get creative guys, don tlet teh melee proffs bring you down. my pvp rating is 1530 ... and just look at my template. its not impossible if you knwo what youre doing.
