Thats a trick question. Yes and no. Yes if you have some nice Krayt weapons and can nail em w/ torso shot and eyeshot, no if you haven't. Even against a MLS you can get em hurtin w/ fire from torso shot. Now if they are master healer you're pretty much screwed and thats that. Other than that you should be fine.

It's iffy. If your shots get thru the block, he's toast. Jedi get little in the way of ranged damage mitigation. DOT's and states pass thru block, so torso is your friend. A stun state drops block rates, so keep your Jedi target stunned with last ditch if you can.
I've always used bombots in conjunction with pistols when dealing with Jedi. That big *boom* to start things off can really panic some folks. That much white bar shows up at one time and it makes the pistol work that much easier.

They can still use force powers and saber block when on their back... hoping that issue changes with the Combat Rebalance, but I won't hold my breath.
KD them if you are worried about them force-running away. Otherwise, keep them intimidated (yes, its worth the 15 points of skills) and use your combo.

We still dodge when on our backs as well. All "passive defenses" fire no matter what. Mounted, KD'ed, moving, makes no nevermind as far as block, counterattack or dodge are concerned.

Except if you're intimidated... oh yeah... Jedi don't have to worry about that either.

neither do doctors
I don't know how anybody PvP's w/o /healstate. Everybody's got /intim these days.
edited to add: And yes, like Run said, use KD only for movement control, in conjunction with suppresion fire ( ranged posture down). Getting thru the block will be the hard part, so run with torso and ditch and see where it gets ya. Good Luck.
