I was seriously thinking of supplimenting my Pistolear with the Bounty Hunter line of pistol skills. Now, I'm not exactly the bastion of progressive thinking, so if I've had an idea, then it's likely there already a bunch of people who have not only had the idea as well, but also executed it. So, does it work well?

I currentlty have both, and serisouly IMHO it's not really worth it.

you get 2 good skills and spd-acc bonuses. Now since pvp is more time consuming, having medical abilities is a must in some cases. This can make the BH-Pistoleer not as strong.

Pistoleer on it's own is jsut fine.

You will be the best pistol user in the game hands-down. Eye shot is a great special, torso shot is nice to use too (especially when stacking with healthshot1 and healthshot2).

HOWEVER: Being the best pistol user in the game does not mean you are the best combatant in the game. You have advantages and disadvantages... and in this case the disadvantages are very solid.

ADVANTAGES:

1.) Best pistol user in game.

2.) Great speed and accuracy.

3.) Specials from both pistoleer and bounty hunter (such as eye shot, and melee defense 1).

DISADVANTAGES:

1.) you have to fill out the whole scout line and the whole marksmen line to get there... this makes the skill points look something like this:Master Pistoleer - 92 points, Master pistoleer, Bounty Pistol 4 - 218 points. Notice that to get bounty pistol 4 you end up more than doubling the amount spent for master pistoleer.

2.) you can't use all the specials at once, it's nice to mix them, but you can't use disarmshot2 and eyeshot all at the same time... and you can't use healthshot2 and torsoshot at the same time, so you have to pick and choose which to use, which means that having more specials isn't nessisarily an all-powerful thing.

3.) You can become a master pistoleer/master doctor, or master pistoleer/master combat medic, or master pistoleer/master creature handler... all of which might make you a better all-around combatant, giving you the versitility and overall effectiveness that you would loose by going master pistoleer/bounty pistol 4.
