Im not at master pistoleer yet, but have some a few questions.

-pistol speed at master is +75 or so (dont have numbers in front of me at work) , how does one get it closer to 100 ?

-I currently carry a fwg5, scout blaster, and dx2. And use them depending on which mob I'm fighting depending on its vulnerabilties.

When you have a gun made, say the fwg5. Do you have it made with experimented max damage, then slice for max damage, then add a powerup for reducedspeed ? I prefer not to use the powerups with the current decay rates, so was lookingat what might be a good pattern to follow when ordering a new gun.

I'm not familiar with what all can be experimented / sliced / boosted so looking for advice please

You dabble in the "other master pistoleer line", the bounty hunter pistol line.

At some point, skill tapes might work (Or whatever the skill enhancement features in clothing/armor are), but for now, I think the only way is through dabbling to mastery!!

There's a few pieces to your second half. Hopefully I'll hit them all for you:

You have no choice with slicing. It's a random effect that will either reduce the delay or increase the damage. Personally I prefer increased damage due to the speed cap, but again - it's random.

When buying weapons, you don't normally "order". You head to one of the 3 major planets (Tatooine, Naboo, Corellia (in that order of "vendor concentration" on my server, may vary on yours)) and pop up the Ctrl - V map, expand vendors, expand weapons, and go shopping. You buy what's out there, and that's it. Master weaponsmiths are very popular, and are usually either hiding on another character so they can play in peace or AFK (or pretending to be AFK ) next to one of their factories. But this doesn't seem to matter much since in my experience, at any given time the "best" version of a particular weapon that's available is about the same. For example, the last time I checked a few master's shops on my server, the best FWG5s were 51-200 damage, 2.0 speed, 51-200 damage, 2.0 speed, and 51-200 damage, 2.0 speed... (one of them did have HAM costs that were less by 1 though, as well as higher accuracy and wound percents (nope - no scope, I THINK it was due to the use of an advanced barrel instead of a regular one, but I haven't been able to confirm that)) So take your pick. You won't find the best damage weapon with crappy speed or vice versa normally, so you don't need to worry about picking damage vs speed.

Umm, powerups... I don't bother with them. I haven't needed the extra boost yet, so I don't plan to worry about them till I'm doing lots of pvp. However, I would recommend increased damage there too, if you're going to use them.
