I have a question. I only have a limited amount of points to put into my Pistoleer line. I chose the Markmanship line and everytime I raise that skill I also raiseone or twocombat levels.

Does every skill tree in the Pistoleer profession have this effect?

I should add that I'm also a ranger who gets a creatures combat level when I examine them. Right now at close to Master Ranger and Master PistolMarksman I think I'm combat level 18 now. Scyks turned blue and kreetles are green now.

This also brings another maybe even bigger question into the playing field. When comparing professions and damage tables, do you take the persons combat level into account.

Any comparisons between professions should compare masters since that's where everyone will be soon enough (unless they dabble to the point where they master no elite professions). But of course this begs the whole question of whether any class comparisons should be made The best way to do it would probably be to identify design rules and compare everything against those design rules, not classes against classes. You want variety and different professions should have different strengths.
