Thread: Disarm Shot 2 Will be the First thing Nerfed.

I am willing to bet that our Master Pistoleer special, Disarm Shot 2, will be the first to be rendered useless.


It looks pretty obvious that Disarm Shot 2 has the same effect that the Carbineer's Charge Shot 2 should be doing. Their Charge Shot 1 is a straight up knockdown, and Charge Shot 2 is supposed to be an AOE knockdown, but it isn't. Their shot does nothing. I believe this effect was mistakenly placed on Disarm 2 from the get go, and the DEV's statement that we are overpowered is just an excuse for them to go correct this situation without revealing that they messed it up in the first place.


I think they are being smart about a big mistake they made, and just trying to correct it like it should have been with out too many people noticing it was an error. The thing is, we love the effects Disarm Shot 2 have now, but they most likely weren't even meant for us originally, It belongs in the carbine tree.


I think they will fix BodyShot 3 and MultiTarget Shot however so we don't feel too ripped off. They know how they want the game to be, and "nerfing" is them just slowly putting things into a correct perspective. There is still that huge problem with knockdowns tho, and I have nothing new to contribute to that debate.


I would prefer is Disarm Shot 1 and 2 did damage to NPC weapons, and followed the 75% reduction in PvP. Nobody would use it in PvP if it only took 30 points off an opponent's weapon. I would sue it religiously in PvE however, snipe 3-4 disarm shots on an NPC and he couldn't fire at you anymore, supressive fire, he takes a knee, he's done for. I'd LOVE that instead of knockdown, its strategy, and I have a feeling that is what was intended for us in the first place.

Oh yes, I'm positive it will. Its a shame it has been in this long. I've seen this style abused and spammed horridly over the past week now and its gross and intolerable.


No ranged weapon should have a knockdown ability, much less and spammable AE one.


Knockdowns should also be put on a timer for PvP.

On behalf of my artisan character I say that it is unfair that any other class can do more damage than I can do with the survival knife. I think that the devs should nerf everybody - that will achieve a true balance and we will all be happy.

Whatever they do to disarm shot 2, it could be considered a bugfix, not a nerf, since the skill is not currently named "wide-area ass-whoopin'".

I agree on this. although disarmshot2 IS nice to have, it is not intended to be an AE knockdown. further, it should be replaced with something worth using as it is a master level ability, and not a griefshot2.


maybe a good delay-shot... or one that removed their equiped weapon and doesn't let them re-equip it for a second or two or something.

Actually Carbine should get the AE knockdown, that's kind of their 'style', run-n-gun, shoot everyone.

so let me get this straight carbine should get an AE KD but we shoudlnt? doesnt that just means youll be crying nerf for carbine after charge shot 2 works for them? in that case watch out carbine users ull be getting hit also since this is essentually the same move...and in case you didnt notice they are thinking of doing a 30 second timer on KD which should make them realize our move is not gonna be overpowered after that.

No, Carbineer is supposted to have an AE Knockdown, look at their skill tree. But with the 'super-HAM' cost bug/problem that they are having there aren't that many carbineers around.


Also: Disarmshot2 should be useful, it is a master-level skill... but from the name I believe it should be something besides an AE Knockdown. Maybe based on the name it should unequip their weapon, give them a delay on their next attack, or screw up their accuracy, or a combonation of them.


Also, I won't cry nerf for that if carbineers get them, assuming of course you can't spam it 22 times into a group of 10, in which case EVERYONE will cry nerf.

I agree the essential problem with KD is the delay after it..if they would only remove that ...nay lower it to reasonable time such as 3sec delay it wouldnt be that big of a deal currently..it dellays ur actions for insane times by which time u are DEAD



i dont care if they change it to something else..ds2 but for gods sake dont make it damage other peoples weapons.
