Thread: With the looming FWG5 Nerf, how many Pistoleers are switching professions?
Ok: Note to all, I am a BH. Had nothing to do with the FWG5 nerf, and if you look, I think my first few posts were on the BH board but thats it.
I just want to see how many people are quitting/switching weapons.
Great, were going to have more Carbineers.
1 week: Politely send requests to un-nerf
2 week: Start SPAMMING and SCREAMING for un-nerf like everyone else.
3 week: Switch to commando
Just to help out Philosopher1976 here, this is not a nerf per-se, and it carries across all weapons that use more than one enhancement attachment to improve its performance. Yes, Scatters, or any other type are also effected, that use these attachments.
The problem, from their perspective, was that the end-result of the combination of these attachments is considered an exploit, because it allowed the possibility of the existence of pistol weapons (in particular) putting out maximum true damage on targets that equalled, in many cases, some heavy weapons, and this wasn't their intention.
This wasn't a vote of correspondents, or the result of any forum feedback, simply that the problem existed, they recognized it and made the change.
So, the FWG5 itself is not getting nerfed. Nothing is. It'sjust a rearrangement of weaponsmithing abilities that removes the possibility of these weapons being crafted with such high damage output.
Hope that helps.

So rifle's and Carbines shooting at a cap of 1 second like a pistol with it's massive damage is also an 'exploit'?
Wepps,
It looks like a nerf. It walks like a nerf. Its a nerf.
A nerf by any other name is still a nerf.

To be honest, I've never seen a Rifle or a Carbine firing at 1 second while using any specials. And I use both, but I'm certainly not a Rifleman.
If it were true, but I have never seen proof of this statement, I would think it's an imbalance. But then again, it doesn't matter what I think. Only thing that matters is what DEV thinks.
Besides, as far as I can tell, their intention is to make changes to the speed caps, but I haven't heard anything in a while.
