Heres why I think it is...

Fanshot is being nerfed. WE NEED a point blank weaponbecause pointblank area is our only cone effect attack now that we can use to get pistol xp.

Add an all pistols cert at master, and keep the dx2's current range. Thats what I think we should campaign for.

Otherwise its going to be a long grind up to master...

The problem isn't that the DX2's ideal range is only 8m.

The problem is that at 8m, the range modifier is still an astoundingly negative number. This means that unless you're standing inside the target, the DX2 is going to be working against you.

Plus, PBAE2 doesn't even work, only PBAE1. So we'd even have to use a lesser point blank AE. Ranged AE is much better, more avoidance of damage.

actually a dx2 is best when right in your face... kneeling, its +31 for creatures, and only +15 for bases

The last thing I want to do is get next to a Commando or a TKA with a DX2 pistol.

yes but what a great thing it is to be able to continually tell your pet to come and have it not move or attack while you get all the xp.

thats the beauty of a melee range pistol
