Thread: New Master Gunfighter! and some issues
Hi there fellow pistoleers! I just hit master yesterday after months of grinding (I'm not to fast :smileyvery-happy
First off I want to say that I love being a pistoleer, I went for it right when I got the game and now I'm finally here. It's been a long journey with many thought of dumping the profession on my bad days ![]()
What I don't like to much though is this, where are our status effects? Should'nt we have any? We have healthshots (HS1 Marksman?) and a melee knockdown. The knockdown I feel is only useable in larger pvp where you can run into the fighting, knock and run back....FAST. It has also saved me when getting to close to for example Teras Kasis wich is good. Don't even use it in PVE.
Should'nt a pistoleer (AT LEAST at master) have anymore status effects? I think so. And yes we COULD dabble in another combat profession to get some effects but I don't think we should have to and I'm pretty happy with my char now and I have 0 skill points leftwith pistoleer as my only "true" combat profession.
Anyway I enjoy this profession very much and I'm so glad I finally hit master! ![]()
Oh and a question to the masters out there. The specials we get at master, is it just me or are they totally useless?
Mostly I was just being happy about hitting master and wanted to say that
, that was my main purpose of this post. But then again I though I'd implent my thoughts of what I felt for the profession as an "extra".

As far as state effects go, I know all about it -- our specials suck. Take a look at the State of the Profession Report sticky post and you'll see that I tell the Devs all about the problem. Now we just need to get them to do something about it.

I'm not sure about the pistol whip problem though.
Melee Defence 2 needs something, but as for MD 1 i've got no complaints.
It's hard to complain about being able to pistol whip a Fambaa.
Oops, shouldn't have said that. Now they might 'fix' it.

You're right I believe Melee1 is working as intended, and it saved me alot of times so I'm fairly happy with that, it's just my personal experiences from it I'm describing (I dont like getting to close to what I'm shooting at:smileytongue![]()
