Thread: What do you use in PvP?

As a Master Pistoleer/Master Squad Leader, I don't have torso shot or eyeshot to spam in PvP. I was standing around Mos Eisley, overt, Geo Pistol in hand and the strangest thought came to me. If I do get attacked, what attack do I use?! Fan shot? So, I'd like to hear from you pure pistoleers (if there are any...) what do you use for PvP? Do you even PvP at all?

Thanks for the input....I know, I know, wait for the combat revamp...

using a modified republic blaster or a DOT pistol, fanshot can be deadly

healthshot2 is the other attack you'll want to focus on if you're purely pistoleer

after the combat balance changes, i'm sure it'll change and we'll have more useful attacks though

I have a way cool Geo with a mind poison dot that I usually start out with. Fan shot will apply the dot to the entire group of people I'm fighting. Then switch to Modified Republic blaster and bleed the whole crowd again with fan shot. Mind you, none of this really matters, all I'm really doing is irritating them and keeping the doctors busywhile my friends with "real" pvp templates blast the crap out of thier minds.

Combat balance is coming and is reportedly going to take the focus off of the mind pool. I'm gonna keep the faith until then.

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

PvP now: Mindpoison Genosian switch to sliced modified Republic blaster or sliced DX2, Healthshot2 get the bleed, spam Last Ditch or Stopping shot.Never stop running and kite like crazy.

PvP after the patch is yet to be determined.

I PvP, and rarely win. But HS2, and fanshot are what I use. If you get up close, only to ranged fighters, try to nail em with PW, then spam fanshot. But don't get that close to a melee fighter, or you're as good as dead.

I have a very nice crafted Geo pistol that only gets used for PvP. Or I use a good DX2. Not much acid resist out there.

Acid resist is a base resist on most comp. armor and can reach 90%+ resist.

Shields are useless against acid though. I've generally done more damage with my DX2 than a Geo against most targets since most PvP'ers carry shields.

My template is master pistoleer/master commando/smuggler 0030 (smuggler is the key guys).

My DX2 cracks through shields and has AP1. Genosian does very little damage on top end pvp with 40% stun layer. I rely on my DX2 and Modified Republic for the ranged part of my PvP. Alone it is still tough to win as a pistoleer so I alway go back to the smuggler specials and MTK to win.

I start by hitting them with a health poison DoT Striker to break down their PSG. Then if they have any medic, i hit mind, other wise i stack bleeds and fire on their health with 350 max dmg Geo. If its mind i use a mind DoT Geo and spam eyeshot.

I have a question though, Randonb might know this. If you are fighting someone with Stun armor, they lose the vunerabilites to stun, is it better to attack with a pistol that has AP1 like the SR or Rep. Blaster? Or should you stick with stun.

If I'm in a large scale PvP battle I'll be spamming fanshot with one of my DOT weapons. If it's a one on one thing I use low blow and last ditch.
