Thread: Has anyone been using the DE-10 in PvP, and what results are you getting?

Like the title says. I've been contemplating buying one, but before I sink 10 million into a gun, I'd like to know how it fares in combat.

I'm wanting to get one around 500-600 max damage after a powerup. Of course I don't have the money now, so working for it would bea pain if these don't really do great in PvP.

Even if you have a 300 max damage DE-10, i'm very curious as to the damage it does.

I have a 200 - 547 DE-10, and a 189 - 451 Geo Blaster, and without a doubt I do far better with my Geo's stun damage.

I am speed capped and have DF tree in smuggler, with master pistoleer, some TKA and some commando.

The CB may, however, may make the DE-10 the "top dog".

Thanks, that is exactly the help I was looking for. Non-geos are such a joke it's not funny. I thought the DE-10 would change that

C'mon combat rebalance. What a joke we are.

(Disclaimer, yes it's possible to PvP at decent (almost) level with very (*cough* 10 million *cough*) good weaponry, tactics, buffs, food, etc. BTW I sell goggles that tell if your opponent has stun armor on - it saves a cloner trip.)

I was given a 180-540, 2.1 speedgeonosian sonic a few days ago by a friend. That puppy would sell for over 10 million. With stun armor, foods, a PSG, and ranged mitigation 3 it might as well be a ranged speaker system.

Ahh, the truth in that statement cut me deep.

Ayiee, it's a joke. That was just a joke to help set the scene for a pistoleer's impending doom. Pistoleer is very, very gimped in PvP.

Don't let those BH's with 500 damage geo's who travel with support to save their poor defenseless asses tell you otherwise. PvP'ing as a pistoleer/rogue at this point in time requires multi-million credit guns. If your opponents are stun protected with armor and PSG's, you might as well use that geo on yourself.

You have to love those people who say "I kick ass in PvP" What they dont say is that they had to pay 10 million on a gun to get that way, and if their opponent has stun protection, they are worthless. Pistoleers are the cleanup crew for riflemen. Riflemen are the cleanup crew for combat medics. If the combat professions were a pack of wolves, pistoleers would be the gimp getting the very last scraps of gristle or tendons it could find on a kill.

C'mon combat rebalance. I have very high hopes for the combat rebalance though. Carbineers will the the new rifleman - essentially machine gunners. Pistoleers will be the in your face, float like a butterfly sting like a bee class Rifleman will the the lazy couch potato sniper.

OH OH, LOL I'm lauching so hard its hard to type. Dont do that to me so late in the day. Ever notice the new weapon out of the DWB for TKA that was made with post CB stats, was pulled out? Pulled out because it was going to make the TKA to powerful. But yet they left the DE-10 pistol in the game, because we already suck so bad powerwise. The devs pretty much told us straight out we are totally out of balance by leaving the DE-10 in and taking the RK out.

Ill still be playing SWG, with my still underpowered pistoleer. I love it so much even if i continue sucking ill play it. What ive found in PvP is what you already hit on, you wont ever be the best at PvP if you dont spent 10 million on weapons and other gear. But if you just invest a fraction of that, and have a decent template, you can do pretty well. Ive only spent around 2 million on stuff and i do pretty well most of the time (i only get my butt kicked 50% of the time).
