Thread: Corsec CDEF pistol qualification(just because I'm curious)

I'm currently a 1/4/1/2 pistoleer (I think... I'm too lazy to log on and check 
). I was surfing the bazaar for stuff and I noticed that a Corsec CDEF pistol was for sale. After examining it, I found that it really WASa Corsec pistol. It was cheap and a nice collectible so I bought it (Speaking of which: What are the Corsec items, and how can one get them? I know of the gloves and the CDEF). It's about the same as a regular CDEF but has Pistol Speed +3. Then I noticed at the qualification thing that I was NOT qualified. Since I like to help and hunt with noobies so they can learn the ropes, it can be nice to not kill every womp rat in one shot. Plus, I'm curious. So, what qualifies you for the Corsec CDEF pistol?

It sounds like one of those bugged weapons like the beam rifle, that no one is certed for.

I've never heard of where this is certed. CDEF by definition means certed for everybody. I think it was supposed to stand for Civilian Defense, but it's somewhatofa mystery. If anybody can provide any information on this weapon, let us know.
Maybe it's Corsec only.

I got a corsec weapon, too. I looted it off some NPC around Tyrena (no corsec though, I have 5k faction )
I never tested if I am certed for it, it's just a nice item if you like that stuff, stats are the usual junk. have to look when I am at home.

Did you just look at the cert or did you try to equip it? If you only looked at the cert try equipping it to see if you get the "damaged reduced not certified" message. Some weapons were showing up as no cert when you looked at them but they still let you use them.
If you do get that message then it's probably like someone else said and a non-cert'd weapon like the Beam Rifle and Tusken King Rifle.
