Boshuda!

Iam BH 0440 and want an advice from elder pistoleeros: What do you think is better, to get Pistoleer 4040 or 0044?

I mostly do PvE right now (waiting for the combat revamp) and want atleast some defenses against mid-level creatures (Janta/Voritor-class).

Without any other melee defense, the Stances line is only going to give you40 melee defense which isn't really enoughto makemuch difference. I would recommend going up toStances2 because then you would have 97 pistol speed and be able to shoot specials on any gun w/ speed of8sec or lower at1sec. I think you would get more benefit defensively out of the dodge line though. Do you have enough skill points to go 4042?

It might be nice to have a pistol knockdown, with this weapon switch delay going in. The melee defense isn't that hot, true. The speed and the KD would be nice though. Probably a little nicer than the Dodge, which doesn't even work if you switch out from your pistol.

Okay thank you for your answers. I have 2 KD shots from BH 0440 (Fireknockdown/Underhandshot).

And since I have no points to spare (because I like the tracking abilities from ranger too much...) decided to take the dodge line + the defense line with RDM2 and test it out for myself. The last option (when this won't work) will be Master Pistoleero + BH 0030 + Novice Medic.

fireknockdown doesnt actually knock anything down. nor does it set anyone on fire. it is horrible mislabled

Than it fits with Master Pistoleer. Going to do the mPistol/BH 0030 template since I still have a nice 800 max. Scatter (w/PU).
