Okay guys ... I went against some advice and got PointBlankSingle2 last night. When is this thing useful? I've been testing it out and I do about the same damage as BodyShot2, but just to a random pool ... which is a lot less helpful. Even if it did 15-20% more damage than BS2, I think BodyShot would be better because it is a focused attack.

When do the masters on here use PointBlankSingle2? I could use your advice. Right now my basic attack on mobs is:

Aim;HealthShot2;HealthShot1;BodyShot2;BodyShot2;BodyShot2 ... until it gets close, then WarningShot, BodyShot2, BodyShot2 to keep it running around.

I use a 50-100 2.4 Scout Blaster right now.

Any help with PointBlank would be appreciated ... seems worthless so far.

Honestly I don't think the skill is pretty useful. If it helps the only time I have used it is when I open with a Fanshot and it hits the non-health pool then the mob rushes me. I then pistol whip it and spam point blank hoping that one of them will hit the weakened pool and take it out. I don't know if it's only me, but it seems to execute faster than comparable long range attacks.

Not all styles are intended to be useful at master pistoleerfrom what I can tell, some are increases in a particular damage type. For instance, I have not used bodyshot2 since getting bodyshot3. There could also be a higher "to hit" bonus on that style since it's point blank range only..or a speed difference..I'm not sure.

actually, i just got PointBlankSingle2 last night and tested it out on Lok. I've got a FWG5 44-186 speed 2.2 that normally hits for around 300-550 with body shot2. When i tried out PBS2 on a mob that was right up on me, i was doing 600-900 damage to random pools. I was kinda impressed...but i still like being able to focus on 1 pool...

I've used it. Specifically in group situations where the critter has gotten close and has a lot of damage in pools other than health or when I use my scout/ranger traps. I'd think it would be very effective is used following a pistol whip. IE mob gets close, Pistol Whip it, pointblank, then back off.

It's rather useless since if you're up close you're gonna be using pistol whip.
