Thread: Goodbye, 175000 pistol xp. [rant]
Learning the hard way. Went to the pistol trainer, spent 6000cr and 175000 xp on Int. Pistol Marksmanship. **edit**, that leaves no xp for the other branches??? I don't remember that from marksman or artisan trees... Hmm, ok, I'll surrender it and spend the xp on Stances and Grips instead, since this is going to take !#$%ing forever, and I'd rather get stopping shot someday.
!#$%&! The xp is still gone??? Now I'm out that, the skill advancement, and the 6k credits??? !#$%& I hate this game some days. So, I get to spend another 20 hours killing mites (one of the few mobs around here that I can kill an entire pack, important since everything is a pack attacker), and do some more tedious running to complete some money missions. !#$%&!
Ok, I'm done ranting now.
In the marksman tree each of the lines comes from a seperate pool:
- rifle line uses rifle experience,
- carbine line uses carbine experience,
- pistol line uses pistol experience,
- and ranged weapon support uses combat experience.
In the pistoleer tree it works a little differently:
- tactics, stances, and stances & grips all use pistol experience (shared pool),
- and special abilities uses combat experience.
Note that this also happens in several other skill trees (medic and scout for instance), so take a look at which lines in a tree use which experience pool.
I don't understand why you're so mad at Kubrick. The information IS in the manual, in pretty much the same way as Byro put it. I'm sure Kubrick was just tongue-in-cheekly responding to your post using the same language you did. After all, if you're allowed to use it, what's stopping him from?
"!#$%&! The xp is still gone???"
"!#$%& I hate this game some days."
If you're a pistoleer you should be able to kill something tougher than mites.
Try using warning shot against big things. It's fun.
